Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Late Shift Team Leader at Coker Engineering Ltd in Taunton. The Team Leader will oversee production & QC operations during the late shift, ensuring schedules are met, coordinating with production setter / operators, and maintaining quality standards. The role involves managing a team, problem-solving, and ensuring a smooth workflow, and directly reports to the production supervisor. Advanced leadership / people management training to be made available. With a broad range of production machinery on site, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 years experience in at least one of the following areas; CNC turning (fixed head and/or sliding head), CNC milling, precision grinding. Ability to read & interpret Fanuc NC programs preferred. Qualifications Experience in precision engineering or manufacturing, specifically CNC machining Leadership and team management skills Strong problem-solving abilities Knowledge of quality control processes, including measurement techniques & use of metrology equipment; digital calipers, micrometers, hard gauging, height gauges, etc. Ability to interpret technical drawings Good knowledge of best practice machining methods, across a broad range of metals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Rate of pay dependent on experience, and suitability to the role - £37k to £42k, including shift premium. Hours of work Mon-Thur 1430 - 0100 (4x 10hr shifts + 1/2hr mandatory unpaid break).
