H&S Manager required for this National Construction Contractor

Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be working with this award-winning Contractor in recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join the team
Based in Cheshire, this is a fantastic opportunity to join this National Construction Contractor to drive H&S strategies and operations across the business

Your key duties and responsibilities will be primarily to drive H&S standards, strategies and procedures across the business, and driving a collaborative safety culture across the business. You'll be supporting the project teams with guidance and the processes required to maximise H&S across their sites

You'll have full responsibility for carrying out H&S plans, RAMS (in conjunction with site teams), sites audits and inspections. You'll drive environmental practices across the company, with an ethos of application and improvement inline with the overall business's environmental objectives

You'll have a strong background in driving the highest standards of H&S within a Construction environment, and will ideally have experience in working for a Principal Contractor. You must be able to build rapport with site project teams, so you must be a strong communicator, have excellent leadership skills and be successful at driving H&S strategies, policies and procedures across live sites

You must have extensive experience working for a Main Contractor in a H&S Management role. You will have NEBOSH, and also a working practice of Environmental standards, or ideally working towards an Environmental qualification
