Our in-house, specialist team does the high value things that only we can do: develop product concepts through to detailed design sales and product delivery support customers with implementation and consultancy projects using the software grow the scale and value of the business Everything else is outsourced. The role Quickly learn how Empirica works and how our customers use it to run safe and productive wells Provide know-how and expert advice to customers with well risk model building Hands-on consultancy projects for model building, analysis and reporting Work closely with Empirica Product Manager to: - recognise, capture, define, and develop ideas to improve software and user experience - analyse customers’ requirements of our products - update user guidance documents - contribute ideas and input to product development roadmap Support customer technical queries by phone, video calls and email, working with our wider team to solve complex issues Undertake regular customer contact to understand their challenges, maintain relationships and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and develop new and repeat business Develop an understanding of the software space that Empirica occupies Based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, with some travel in the UK and internationally Report directly to the Managing Director Who you are Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering or Science Minimum two years’ work experience in an engineering, technical risk or software environment Experience in oil and gas well or production engineering (completions, drilling, well integrity, well intervention, well performance), or risk management in oil and gas or related industry Strong in IT; competence and confidence with complex technical software. Experience with drawing packages such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks would be beneficial Team oriented with strong collaboration skills Diligent and innovative with strong attention to detail Self-motivated and curious, with a desire to learn new things Trustworthy and reliable Committed to create results that make a difference for our customers Enthusiasm to support and develop Empirica and grow the business Fluent in English; oral and written Legally permitted to live and work in the UK We want you to be part of building a fun and inclusive working environment, making an important impact in a vital industry.
