About the Company: Our client specializes in manufacturing precision gear splined and threaded components for industry leaders in aerospace. Position Overview: As a CNC Miller, you will play a critical role in supporting production demands within the Milling department. Your focus will be on producing high-precision parts and components in a clean, modern environment. This position will also involve working on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to develop innovative manufacturing methods for cutting-edge designs. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Planning, Quality, etc.) on NPI to establish effective manufacturing methods for prototypes and repeat work. Set up and operate CNC Milling machines to produce components to precise customer specifications, maintaining tolerances of +/- .001” (0.025mm) and occasional tolerances of +/- .0005” (0.0125 mm). Accurately record job timings in the Company’s ERP system, Javelin, and manage scanning on and off jobs. Maintain 6S standards on the shop floor to ensure a safe and organized work environment. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance production processes.Experience and Skills Required: Previous Aerospace Experience: Essential for this role. Technical Proficiency: Competent in setting up and operating HAAS milling machines with Fanuc controls. Materials Knowledge: Experience with Stainless Steel, Nylon, Titanium, Inconel, and Aluminium, adhering to strict tolerances. Training: Either apprentice trained or qualified by experience. Programming Skills: Programming experience is a distinct advantage. Multi-Machine Operation: Ability to operate two machines collaboratively. Attention to Detail: Strong capability to use various measuring equipment for in-process inspections (self-inspect machined parts). Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret customer drawings effectively.Important Behaviors: Safety First: Always prioritize safety, adhering to all safety protocols.
