Environmental Engineer

We are a leading company specialising in precast concrete elements and looking for an Environmental Engineer for a major project at our factory in London Thamesport, Isle of Grain (ME3 0EP Kent), United Kingdom. Join a leading firm in the design, manufacture and assembly of precast, prestressed reinforced concrete structures for both civil engineering and building construction. Integrated in our HSE team, you will have a focus on the environmental area and your DUTIES will be, among others, the following: carries out environment-related desk-based research and fieldwork to collect, analyse and interpret data to determine their validity, quality and significance. implements, reviews and advises on regulatory and legislative standards, guidelines and policies, having regard for sustainable approaches and solutions. advises on and provides solutions for mitigating the effects of contamination. implements remediation works. carries out and assists in environmental audits and environmental impact assessments. assists the teams involved to conduct their activities in an environmentally appropriate manner. manage the Environmental Management Plan and Waste Management Plant and the corresponding documents. Our successful candidate would be someone who meets the following requirements : University degree in a related field: Bachelor in Environmental Engineering, or bachelor in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering together with a Msc in Environmental management, QHES Management or similar. At least 2-5 years of previous experience in a similar role managing the Environmnetal System, preferably in the precast concrete sector or industrial environment. Available to work in shifts. Highly valued: Training and/or experience in environmental management ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. Experience in complex civil engineering and/or building construction projects. Experience in projects involving international teams and stakeholders. Languages: fluent English, B2 or higher. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, communication skills, analysis skills.
