Are you an experienced Key Stage Coordinator of English eager to make an impact on students' learning in Tower Hamlets? We are seeking a committed and inspiring Key Stage Coordinator of English to join our co-educational comprehensive secondary school. You will lead the English department for your key stage, ensuring high-quality education and a stimulating curriculum that engages and challenges students to reach their full potential.
As the Key Stage Coordinator of English, you will oversee the development and success of English teaching, with a strong emphasis on promoting a passion for literature and language. This role offers a unique opportunity to take on responsibility and contribute to a school community dedicated to excellence in learning.
Key Stage Coordinator of English Responsibilities:
Lead, coordinate, and deliver the English curriculum for your assigned key stage.
Support and mentor English teachers within the department to achieve best practices.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to boost student engagement and performance.
Track, assess, and report on student progress, setting high expectations for all students.
Collaborate with other departments and school leadership to align curriculum goals.
Organize English-related events, workshops, and enrichment activities for students.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment that fosters learning.
Key Stage Coordinator of English Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, ideally in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in the English curriculum, with an ability to guide and support others.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Passionate about English education and committed to student success.
