We are a small, close-knit team and we are looking for a confident, approachable/outgoing personality with fantastic leadership and organisational skills, kitchen management experience and a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism and diligence.We offer:Daytime work hours: 40 hrs per week, 8 am to 5 pm, 5 days per week (flexible Mon to Sun)Fantastic life-work balance: evenings offEarnings in the region of £45,000 per annum, including service charge (plus incentive Tronc)Christmas Day - offBupa Dental Health InsuranceAccess to Mental Health HelplineFree lunch while on shift50% Staff Discount on selected itemsA cake on your birthdayWagestream - access to advance wagesOpportunity to develop and shape our savoury menu direction Key responsibilities:Oversee and run the savoury kitchen, lead the team and serviceEnsure consistency and a high level in food quality and presentationEnsure smooth operations and efficiencyLead, mentor and inspire a small team of chefs and nurture collaborative teamworkSeasonal menu development, training and documentationRota management, appraisals and performance reviewsEnsure compliance with health and safety as well as food safety regulations Efficient menu planning through cost effective ordering and stock control, monitoring and management of food costs and suppliers to maximise profitabilityAbout you:Previous head or sous chef experience at a premium establishmentA good understanding of the Peggy Porschen brand and able to identify with who we areExcellent culinary skills and creativity with a passion for Brunch, Lunch and Afternoon TeaGreat knowledge of seasonal, quality ingredients and menu creationKeen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding quality and serviceGreat leadership and communication skills, ability to motivate and develop a diverse teamWell organised in both, practical and administrative tasksGreat commercial awareness, numeracy and literacy skillsProficient with product, rota, food safety and cost management softwareAbout UsA globally known food & lifestyle brand and independently owned family business, visitors from all over the world flock to the Peggy Porschen Parlour in Belgravia to enjoy our award-winning, seasonally inspired layer cakes, cupcakes and Afternoon Tea alongside artisan teas and coffees.
