Head Chef
TROF, Northern Quarter, Manchester £34,000 + Bonus Structure + Tips & Tronc We are looking for a Head Chef with the enthusiasm to succeed in a busy kitchen. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fresh food and a passion for creating recipes. As the leader of our food crew, you'll be a valuable part of a team that thrives on the pressure of working in a busy food operation. You'll work alongside our Chefs as part of a tight-knit team in an exciting, fast-moving environment, preparing fresh locally sourced ingredients.

Who we need Someone who is honest, shows resilience and takes pride in every dish Someone who has a genuine love for cooking Experience working in a busy, fresh food kitchen is essential A team leader with plenty of energy and stamina, who enjoys leading a tight knit team
Duties Leadership and management of an established kitchen team, recruitment, training, and ongoing development Development of new seasonal dishes in collaboration with the Director of Food Menu planning and costing, stock control and training A strong focus on maintaining food safety, health & safety, and HACCP guidelines Working to financial targets, including GPs and labour controls. Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margin
Skills A minimum of 12-month experience at Sous Chef level is required. Great cooking skills A cool head An ability to delegate appropriately Organisational flair A strong understanding of profit margins
