Integration and Automation Lead - Dynamics
Location: Hertfordshire (Once per month)

Job Overview:
As the Integration and Automation Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of integration and automation solutions using Dynamics 365. You will be at the forefront of automating business processes, integrating various systems (including ServiceNow and other ITSM platforms), and enhancing the company's digital landscape through efficient use of APIs and other integration tools. Your role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless workflows and optimized processes across the IT ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Dynamics 365, ITSM platforms, ServiceNow, and building robust integrations using APIs. You will play a pivotal role in driving the company's digital strategy by streamlining business operations and ensuring data consistency across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Integration Projects:
Oversee the design and delivery of end-to-end integrations between Dynamics 365 and other systems such as ServiceNow, ITSM platforms, third-party applications, and cloud services.
Automation of Business Processes:
Develop and implement automated workflows that streamline business processes across various departments, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
API Development and Management:
Design and implement API-based integrations to ensure seamless data exchange between internal and external systems. Manage API configurations, security, and performance optimization.
IT Service Management (ITSM):
Implement ITSM best practices by integrating systems like ServiceNow with Dynamics 365, ensuring that service management workflows are optimized for IT operations, incident management, and service delivery.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with stakeholders from IT, business units, and external vendors to understand integration requirements, provide technical recommendations, and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
Governance and Best Practices:
Define and implement governance processes for managing integrations, ensuring compliance with data security, and maintaining system integrity. Establish best practices for integration development and automation.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other team members, promoting a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Participate in code reviews and solution design workshops.
Testing and Troubleshooting:
Conduct thorough testing of integration solutions, identifying and resolving any issues related to data flow, connectivity, or automation scripts. Implement monitoring tools to proactively address integration failures.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, architecture, and workflows. Provide training and support to internal teams to ensure smooth operation of integrated systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in system integration and automation, with a focus on Dynamics 365.
Proven expertise in API design, development, and integration, including RESTful and SOAP APIs.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools, including integration with Dynamics 365.
Strong knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and best practices.
Hands-on experience with Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow) and other automation tools for Dynamics 365.
Proficiency in working with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, and other cloud integration platforms.
Solid understanding of data integration techniques, including data mapping, transformation, and synchronization.
Experience with JavaScript, C#, .NET, or other relevant programming languages for customization and API development.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of complex integration solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, or relevant ITSM platforms.
Experience in working with Microsoft Dataverse or Common Data Service.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for deploying integration solutions.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS for hosting and integrating cloud-based solutions.
Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role within an integration or automation team.
