Investment Associate/Principal - Impact Venture Capital Fund

Our Client We are a working with a mission-driven Tech Venture Capital Fund focused on supporting and scaling businesses that positively impact society. As they continue to expand their investment portfolio, we are seeking a dynamic and talented investment professional to join the team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of impact investing, identifying and supporting early-stage startups with the potential to make significant social and environmental impact while delivering strong returns. The Role Deal Sourcing and Screening: Proactively source and evaluate investment opportunities. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and promising startups. Due Diligence: Lead due diligence processes for prospective investments, including financial, technical, market, and environmental impact analysis. Collaborate with the investment team to assess the viability, risks, and growth potential of target companies. Portfolio Management: Support portfolio companies post-investment, providing strategic guidance, and facilitating access to resources, networks, and expertise. Monitor and track the performance of existing investments, identifying opportunities for value creation and risk mitigation. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, co-investors, and strategic partners across the impact ecosystem. Represent the fund at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the firm's presence and identify potential investment opportunities. Candidate Profile: At least 2 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or related fields. Startup experience, as a founder or operator, is a strong plus. Ability to build rapport with entrepreneurs, investors, and stakeholders. Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute to a collaborative team culture. Demonstrated track record of sourcing and executing successful investments is a plus.
