Mechanical Estimator

A great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Estimator to join CH4 Mechanical & Electrical Services Ltd, based in Partridge Green RH13 8RA As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate cost estimates for mechanical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical estimating, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and clients. M&E would be a great advantage Roles & Responsibilities Establish new tender opportunities. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate estimates for mechanical services, including reactive and planned maintenance, refurbishment, and new installations. Tender Preparation: Review tender documents, specifications, and client requirements to create comprehensive and competitive proposals. Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys and assessments as needed to gather information for project costing and feasibility studies. Supplier Liaison: Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes, ensuring best value for each project. Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost breakdowns and analysis, considering labour, materials, and subcontractor costs. Bid Submission: Ensure timely submission of tenders, including attending pre-tender meetings and clarifications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Requirements 5 years of mechanical estimating experience preferred. Have good technical knowledge of mechanical building services. Be able to review and understand engineering specifications, work scopes and drawings Proven experience as an estimator with a mechanical background Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite What We Offer: Competitive Salary: Reflective of your skills and experience in mechanical estimation Company pension Health & Wellbeing programme 28 days holiday Company Mobile £45,000 to £60,000 depending on experience Monday to Friday 8.00am to 16.30pm
