Our client based in Basildon is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production & Materials Planner to join their team on permanent basis. Job Purpose: The Production & Materials Planner coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving problems. Duties: * Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation * Analyse and prepare documents needed for production * Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand * Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation * May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency * Liaise with stores regarding kitting of works orders * Creating sales orders on Lakeview * Creating scheduled purchase orders on Lakeview * Send pick notes to stores * Create delivery notes for dispatches * Create box labels for production * Packaging – internally and externally * Input schedules from Darwin system onto Lakeview * Create goods receipts on Lakeview * Maintain monthly KPI’s for Production & Materials Planning team * Uphold all polices in relation to health, Safety and Welfare Skills/qualifications: * Experience in a similar role, would be preferential * Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability * Proactive and innovative * To work effectively on your own and as part of a team, with a positive 'can-do’ attitude * The ability to prioritise workload * The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment * Good written and verbal communication skills Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7.30am-4.30pm, Friday 7.30am-2pm Salary: £14.42/ph This role will be temporary via agency to start with and subject to satisfactory attendance and performance will become permanent after 12 weeks.
