Job Title: Health & Safety / Fire Consultant.
Location: London, Greater London.
Salary / Benefits £30K - £55K + Training + Benefits
We are working closely with a national and leading provider of Health and Safety / Fire Risk services who are now seeking to take on an client focused and professional Health & Safety / Fire Consultant. The successful candidate will be joining a high calibre team of consultants, working on private sector client sites. You will be required to carry out Health and Safety assessments, type 1 fire risk assessments (in line with PAS79 guidelines), along with providing clients with detailed reports based on site findings and providing excellent technical and consultancy advice. The successful candidate will also be able to confidently provide training courses for clients and colleagues when required. For the successful candidate, our client is offering profit related bonuses, company car and / or car allowance, and opportunities for career progression and development.
Candidates will have good access to London / M25 and surrounding areas: Ilford, Romford, Hornchurch, Chigwell, Enfield, Cheshunt, Rainham, Erith, Dartford, Sidcup, Bromley, Orpington, Dagenham, Swanley, Sidcup, Bromley, Croydon, Mitcham, Sutton.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Holding a recognised qualification within Health and Safety/ Fire.
" Must have experience working hands on as a Health & Safety / Fire Consultant for an established Health and Safety / Fire Consultancy.
" Will have strong technical knowledge, able to provide clients with excellent support and advice.
" Working in line with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
" Able to produce detailed reports.
" Confident working in a demanding environment with the ability to adapt to client and company needs.
The Role:
" Attending a varied portfolio of sites to carry out Health & Safety risk assessments in line with company and client needs.
" Undertaking fire risk assessments (type one) ensuring to provide excellent support and advice to clients in line with PAS79 guidelines.
" Liaising with clients prior to carrying out risk assessments to ensure understanding of what work is required.
" Ensuring to create detailed reports upon completion of Health & Safety / Fire Risk Assessments.
" Highlighting concerns found in risk assessments to clients, ensuring to rectify faults in a timely manner.
" Undertaking investigations in line with company / client requirements, ensuring to always follow safe working practices.
" Creating and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring to review on a regular basis.
" Providing training courses to clients and employees.
