Senior Estimator

Our clients based close to Havant have a great opportunity for an Senior Estimator to join their growing team. They are seeking an estimator who can provide accurate, technically compliant, and timely quotations to customers and distributors, and lead a small team. Duties & Responsibilities Lead and manage a small team of estimators, responsible for people management, including performance, development, absence etc Lead, motivate and engage the team to success A hands-on estimating role providing quotes as required Prepare and review quotations issued to ensure accurate and completed based on the information and drawings provided Ensure margins quoted are as agreed by the business based on product type and market sold to. Highlight variances to management for review Highlight major projects to management for pricing review Evaluate customer needs and ensure the most relevant/cost-effective solution for each enquiry is provided Develop customer relationships with repeat customers and distributors Provide support to the Bid Manager in preparation for major tenders Provide reports as required Ensure all estimating templates are kept up to date and are fit for purpose, including the integration of new products and designs Keep the Sales team up to date with lead times for quotes and ensure these are regularly reviewed To take on any other tasks as deemed reasonable by management SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel) Experience leading a team Good customer service & communication skills Attention to detail Benefits: Ample free onsite parking Early finish and dress-down Fridays Above statutoryholiday allowance plus able to buy additional holiday Company social events Employee Assistance Programme Eyecare vouchers Cycle to work scheme Friendly and supportive environment Holistic approach to work Working for a company who cares about you as an individual and not just a cog in the machine Working Hours: Mon to Thurs 08:00-16:30.
