Job Title: Site Manager (Cladding & Remediation)

We are recruiting on behalf of a construction company known for their expertise in delivering complex fit-out, refurbishment, and new build projects. The team has a strong track record of working in challenging live environments, ensuring top-quality results with minimal disruption. With a growing portfolio of projects across London, they are now looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a key cladding and remediation project in central London.
The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Site Manager to take full responsibility for a cladding and remediation project in central London. As the Number 1 on site, you will be managing all on-site operations, ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will have experience in cladding systems and remediation work, as well as a proven ability to manage complex projects in live environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the cladding and remediation project, ensuring it meets programme schedules, quality benchmarks, and budgetary targets.
- Lead the daily management of the site, overseeing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining quality control.
- Coordinate with the project management team, architects, engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimise site productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety standards, monitoring on-site health and safety performance closely.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing updates to senior management on key milestones and any potential issues.
- Mitigate the challenges of working in a live environment, minimising disruption to occupants and surrounding areas.
- Oversee the quality and compliance of all cladding materials and remediation processes, ensuring they meet regulatory and client standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally with a focus on cladding, remediation, or external fa ade works.
- Strong understanding of construction processes related to cladding systems and regulatory requirements for remediation.
- Experience managing projects in live environments, with the ability to handle complex logistics and minimise disruption.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage site teams and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in relation to external works and remediation projects.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, health and safety, or a related field would be advantageous.
