Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality meals for residents, catering to their individual needs and preferences.
- Assist the Chef Manager in managing the kitchen team and ensuring high standards of food hygiene and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, performing risk assessments and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Take responsibility for the kitchen and staff in the absence of the Chef Manager.
- Aid in menu planning and development, ensuring a variety of nutritious and delicious meals.
- Foster a friendly and approachable atmosphere, interacting positively with residents, guests, and families.
- Previous experience as a Chef in a catering environment, ideally within the care industry.
- Valid food hygiene certificate.
- City & Guilds 7061 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering for the Hospitality Industry.
- A proactive, passionate, and ambitious attitude.
- Ability to take initiative and responsibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clean DBS.
