Active Personnel are recruiting for Assembly Operatives based in Mansfield!

As an Assembly Operative, you will be an integral part of the production team, responsible for assisting in the assembling of builds using hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly: Assemble build components according to technical drawings and work instructions, ensuring all assemblies meet the required specifications.
  • Tool Usage: Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, and wrenches, to fabricate and assemble components.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of parts and assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Material Handling: Prepare and handle materials efficiently, ensuring all components are in compliance with quality standards before assembly.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and workstations to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, and the broader production team to meet daily and weekly production targets.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role, ideally within vehicle assembly.
  • Strong proficiency in using hand and power tools, with a focus on safety and precision.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to handle heavy materials.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.

Pay:

Paying £11.50 per hour OR 12.88 PAYE Inclusive

Working hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, 10 hour days (Day Shift)
