Are you a seasoned Transport Manager with a proven track record in the lifting, cranage, and Hiab transport industry? We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our thriving business. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our transport operations, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of our specialized equipment. This role is a succession role, replacing a long-serving employee due to retire in the next few months. Key Responsibilities: * Fleet Management: Manage and optimize our fleet of lifting and cranage vehicles, including Hiab trucks, to ensure maximum efficiency and utilization. * Driver Management: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of experienced drivers, ensuring they adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. * Route Planning: Develop efficient transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize productivity. * Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations, including road traffic laws, vehicle inspections, and load-securing standards. * Health and Safety: Prioritize health and safety, implementing robust procedures and conducting regular safety audits. * Customer Service: Build strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely deliveries. Qualifications and Experience: * Proven experience as a Transport Manager in the lifting/cranage/Hiab transport industry. * Strong knowledge of transport regulations and best practices. * Excellent organizational and planning skills. * Effective leadership and communication abilities. * A strong commitment to safety and quality.
