Role Overview: We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Tutor to support a young pupil with high Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEMH, demonstrated through practical experience. The role initially focuses on building a trusting relationship with the pupil to ensure they feel comfortable and supported in their home. Over time, the tutor will provide personalized educational support to foster both academic and emotional growth. Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to the pupil's SEMH needs.   - Engage in sensory-based activities.   - Teach social skills such as turn-taking and tolerating others in personal space.   - Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support emotional and academic development.   - Use varied teaching methods to match the pupil’s learning style.   - Monitor progress and adjust strategies to promote continuous improvement.   - Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and professionals to create a holistic support system.   - Maintain detailed progress records and communicate regularly with stakeholders. Qualifications/Experience: - Proven experience working with high SEMH needs.   - Deep understanding of SEMH challenges and best practices.   - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.   - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children.   - Ability to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.   - Experience in educational or therapeutic settings.   - Familiarity with educational tools designed for SEMH children.
