Design Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Design Manager for an expanding renewable energy product manufacturing business based in Manchester.

You will be responsible for leading a team of Designer Engineers (Mechanical and Electrical) and Cad Technicians to produce mechanical, electrical and process engineering design packs for projects to allow the design, build, manufacture, commissioning and servicing of their products.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Qualified to degree or HND/C Level 3 in an Engineering discipline
• Excellent leadership / management skills
• Strong engineering design experience
• Ability to produce Process Flow diagrams, Process and Instrumentation diagrams, Functional Design Specifications, Technical Specifications, schematic drawings, detail drawings and Equipment schedules, electrical designs
• Ability to assist in the design of heat recovery, heat rejection, hot water, chilled water, steam, fuel, noise attenuation and ventilation systems
• Experience in the power generation / energy sector either industry experience or education
• Knowledge of process engineering, electrical distribution, pipework and ventilation design, CDM and health & safety.

This role will be office based offering a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 plus many company benefits.
