Come and lead our way. Are you our new Internal Audit Director? We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Internal Audit Director to join our team and spearhead our internal audit function. As the Internal Audit Director, you will be a pivotal member of our UK leadership team. Your responsibilities will include delivering independent and objective internal audit activities, ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. In this critical role, you will provide independent assurance to the UK market management team regarding the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will have the flexibility to work from any of our UK offices, with the added benefit of hybrid working. Travel to our other UK offices will be required as needed. What you will do: Drive Intrum internal audit strategy, outlining key objectives and review areas to highlight improvement areas, working with Global Internal Audit team to ensure all findings are reported and monitored effectively. Develop and execute a risk based Intrum UK Internal audit plan which maximises performance whilst controlling risk. Design and oversight of the annual audit plan, structured around audit engagement In accordance with the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and the Internal Audit Charter. Provide independent assurance regarding the organisations risk management, governance and internal audit frameworks to ensure they are operating effectively. Build strong effective, relationships with key stakeholders and engage stakeholders on audit delivery, risk management and the control environment. Keep pace with external regulations, internal audit best practice and any thought leadership and emerging governance, risk management and control processes associated with Intrum UK. Promote risk management and control awareness through proactive coaching with our stakeholders and development activities in our teams. Devoted to the FCA principle of Consumer Duty, by ensuring we are driving good customer outcomes across all aspects of services that have potential to impact our customers. This role is registered under the Senior Managers Certification Regime within the UK. The role holder is responsible for meeting the requirements of this regime. What we're looking for: Extensive experience and knowledge in Internal Audit within financial services. Significant experience in leading an Audit function operating across the UK in both secured and unsecured markets, alongside being familiar with the regulatory regime able to demonstrate what good looks like. Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Significant experience in communicating and managing regulatory relationships. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to process complex information and optimise solutions. Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team. High level of integrity and ethical standards.
