Development Engineer

ROLE- Test & Development Engineer LOCATION- Bristol TERM- Permanent SALARY- £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Test & Development Engineer join their team in Bristol on a permanent basis. The Test & Development Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Experienced in a technical and hands-on Engineering position Experienced with testing Knowledge of full lifecycle product development, R&D, design and prototyping Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Excellent attention to detail Able to read engineering drawings and BOMs Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient using MS Office Excellent organisational skills and time management skills Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team The Test & Development Engineer role will involve: Mechanical testing and manufacture of a variety of components and equipment Developing new and existing products Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings Handling compliance and test specifications Working to procedures and instructions Assisting the quality team with functional and visual inspection Working to procedures and compliance standards Testing, fault-finding and repair Using CAD to produce technical drawings, reading, annotating, creating jigs, fixtures, and testing apparatus Working both independently and in a team Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
