We are looking for a new Restaurant Manager to join our friendly team at Paco Tapas. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, to join a forward thinking and creative team in a beautiful location on Bristols harbourside. Paco Tapas is an authentic Spanish, sherry and tapas restaurant delivering food of the highest quality. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to take on this role, reporting to our Managing Directors and working alongside our head Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias

Main purpose of job: The Restaurant Manager is the person who holds the most responsibility for the front-of-house operation. They are responsible for training all service personnel, liaising with the head chef to determine the menu, and organizing the seating throughout service. It is the responsibility of the Restaurant Manager to ensure the highest standards of customer service are delivered, ensuring smooth service and consistency between departments. They should have an extensive knowledge of wines and the food menu in order to answer any queries regarding dietary requirements and be able to offer alternative dishes. It is their responsibility to explain the menu and the evenings proceedings to the team in a briefing before each service to ensure that the team have the ability to remember and recall the ingredients and dishes to fully inform our guests. Personal Skills Required: Possess strong management and organisational skills to understand the business operations of a restaurant including how to show efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Have a good understanding of stock control and gross profit margins. Ability to lead, motivate and work effectively as part of a team. Excellent time keeping and communication skills. Be confident in creating and managing staff rotas to fit to the desired wage percentage. Have a passion for and a good knowledge of food and wine. Show mutual respect and professionalism to all staff at all times. A high level of personal hygiene and appearance. Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure. Whilst you will need to fulfil all of the above, the role is likely to change over time and we are looking for a candidate who is willing to adapt and change with the needs of the business.
