Procurement Officer My client is a leading non-profit organisation, currently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team in Belfast. This is a Full-Time, Temporary Contract initially for 6 months (with hybrid working). Working Hours: 37 hours per week. With a salary of £32,076 - £35,745 per annum (dependent on experience). Closing Date: Monday 14th October at 12pm Job Role: You will be responsible for leading, managing and developing a procurement strategy to inform key external procurement activity to support the programme delivery. Essential Criteria: 3 years' relevant experience in an administrative/finance environment, to include management of procurement exercises from design to award. Strong understanding of procurement processes, including national and European frameworks (e.g. OJEU). IT proficient with the ability to demonstrate working knowledge in Microsoft Office packages including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook, strong technical skills in the use of Excel and Word. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to prioritise a busy workload. Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. A full current driving licence enabling the holder to drive in Northern Ireland/ROI and have the use of vehicle for official purpose OR have access to a form of transport that will enable the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full. Desirable Criteria: Experience working within EU Funded Programmes. Experience of procurement within the IT sector. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies. Manage and monitor procurement processes to ensure adherence to guidelines, including drafting specifications, liaising with partners, co-ordinating the publication of invitations to quote and tenders, arranging panels and record keeping as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Engage with and seek approval from funders (and other partners as necessary) prior to tender release. Managing inventories, asset registers and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records. Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc. Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts. Contributing to onboarding of Suppliers and approval of necessary documentation to support delivery. Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers. Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
