The Role: Utilities & Council Tax Administrator
As a Utilities & Council Tax Administrator, you will support the Utilities Team by managing utility bills and accounts for various properties while assisting tenants in understanding their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage weekly top-ups for properties with prepayment meters
  • Liaise regarding petty cash and key top-ups
  • Sort and distribute daily post for Utilities and Council Tax
  • Handle invoices and update relevant spreadsheets
  • Request utility bills from suppliers and local authorities
  • Set up accounts for new properties
  • Identify tenants needing support with top-ups
  • Provide clear communication to residents and suppliers
  • Manage Utilities and Council Tax inboxes and department mobile
  • Organise applications for Single Person Discounts
  • Communicate with local authorities on behalf of tenants
  • Manage recovery of overpaid council tax and record refunds
  • Inform councils of void and construction periods
  • Register water accounts and update liability changes
  • Ensure timely updates to databases and management software
  • Perform general filing and scanning duties

  • Strong administration and organisational skills

  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying demands
