Director of Building Surveying

Associate Director of Building Surveying Permanent London – With Travel £85k to £100k We have a very exciting opportunity for a RICS qualified Commercial Building Surveying professional at an Associate Director / Director level. This is a great opportunity for the right person to join a dynamic and growing organisation. A client-side role in an established Surveying and Project Management Team; there will be no additional requirement to successfully tender for new work, but rather an opportunity to take advantage of the exciting, upcoming projects within our existing and ever-evolving pipeline. This role will be multifaceted in that the primary purpose will be to manage projects, ranging from small and conceptual works to major refurbishment and development pieces, but also to provide building and construction advice to the internal Investment Management and Asset Management teams. Within a privately-owned, vertically integrated real estate investment, asset, and property management environment, you will play an active role on all aspects of planning, refurbishment, development and project delivery across the retail and business portfolio. Utilising your demonstrable, strong knowledge base, you will be responsible for enabling successful project completion in an attractive, cost-effective, and value-add manner, in line with the overarching business plan.. Purpose • To play an active role in the planning and delivery of sustainable refurbishments throughout our current and future portfolio • Conduct pre-acquisition due diligence by reviewing building and M&E surveys • Advise on refurbishment costs for business plans and manage refurbishment projects within budget and timelines • Appoint consultants, inspect properties, and negotiate settlements for dilapidations claims • Provide general advice on building-related matters, including tenant alterations and repairs • Direct Facilities Managers on lower value maintenance contracts, emphasising value-added work
