SEND Teaching Assistants (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3) - Tameside and Oldham Primary Schools Empowering Learning is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants at Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 for various assignments in primary schools across Tameside and Oldham. These positions include temporary, longer-term, and permanent roles. Experience working with ASD, Down syndrome, global developmental delay, and behaviours that challenge is highly desirable. If you are dedicated to education and eager to make a positive impact on young learners, this opportunity is for you. Responsibilities: Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Support students with their learning through one-on-one assistance and small group interventions. Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Promote the social and emotional development of students, fostering their confidence and independence. Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Collaborate with teaching staff and other support staff to meet the individual needs of students. Contribute to the planning and preparation of teaching resources and materials. Requirements: Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3). Experience in a similar role within an educational setting, especially with ASD, Down syndrome, global developmental delay, and behaviours that challenge. Thorough understanding of the curriculum and learning objectives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Caring and compassionate approach towards students.
