Our client, a well-regarded Alternative Provision in the Chesterfield area, is seeking a qualified, experienced and passionate teacher to join their team as soon as possible. About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for an English Teacher to make a real difference to students who thrive in a non-mainstream educational setting. As part of the provision’s committed team, you will deliver tailored and engaging English lessons, helping students overcome barriers to learning and supporting them to achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated English lessons for KS3 and KS4 students, following the national curriculum. * Work with students who may have SEMH and additional learning needs, providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment. * Build strong, positive relationships with students to foster engagement and motivation. * Track student progress, providing constructive feedback and personalised learning plans. * Collaborate with support staff, external agencies, and other professionals to meet the holistic needs of each student. * Uphold the school’s values of inclusion, respect, and continuous improvement. Ideal Candidate: * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). * Proven experience teaching English at secondary level, ideally within an alternative provision, special school, or similar setting. * A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students in non-traditional education environments. * Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. * A creative and flexible teaching approach, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs. * A genuine passion for helping young people overcome challenges and achieve success.
