Technical Manager HVAC - (Heating biased)

Are you an experienced Heating Engineer looking to take a step up? Or, are you an experienced Technical Manager looking for a new opportunity?
Attega Group is currently partnering with our client in recruiting a a Heating biased Technical Manager to join the team.
The main purpose of this role is to assist in the technical aspects of heating-centric HVAC projects and providing expert guidance to our internal business departments as well as our customers.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £45k, depending on experience, plus: 25 Days holiday + Bank Eye Car Scheme Medical cover Death in Service
This role is Full Time and Permanent. The hours of work will be 08:30-17:30
Reporting to the Operation Director your responsibilities will include:
Site and customer management. Site surveys and audits. Provide technical and practical support to engineers in the delivery of HVAC projects. Quoting for all elements of a project, including equipment, labour, and transport. Building detailed RAMS for clients and the sales team. Support technical standards and operational policies across every element of the business. Project planning and management. H&S compliance and awareness within RAMS for project delivery with guidance from our HSEQ manager. Although a heating & DHW bias role, our work is seasonal so you will be expected to also take ownership of cooling projects with the support of the rest of the team. This also applies in reverse; you will be expected to support our cooling bias Technical Managers. Participate in the OOH on-call managers rote.
The ideal candidate:
Essential: NVQ Level 3 in HVAC engineering or a related M&E field. 2+ years of experience in HVAC, with a strong focus on heating & DHW systems. Proficiency in MS software and able to use a tablet for reporting and auditing. tools. Knowledge of industry codes and standards. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be personable equally with Engineers on the ground, and professionals in an office surrounding. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and enjoy working under pressure. Prepared to be an ambassador for the business even when things are tough. Negativity on the front line should not be a trait. Task/results driven, rather than time driven. Mechanically minded. Adaptable; happy to bend with incoming workloads at a moment’s notice. Able to juggle several projects at a time across multiple sites and geographical locations.
Desirable: HVAC design software experience. H+S qualification like NEBOSH or similar Previous project management experience Employment history within the Hire industry. Air/heat source knowledge
