Behaviour Support Assistant – (Classroom based) Various schools Across West Sussex – Littlehampton, Lancing, Burgess Hill, Crawley Monday – Friday 08:30am – 03:30pm £85.02 – £95.02 daily Start ASAP! Masterclass are working with a superb SEMH school, they have 7 sites across the West Sussex area. The students have a background of SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health). They require additional support with individual learning plans to ensure they remain engaged with the current curriculum. You will be working with Primary or Secondary aged students, dependent on location. Wondering if you can apply for this role?? Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour? Patience and Understanding: Patience: Someone who can work with students who may have diverse learning needs and require extra time to grasp concepts. Empathy: Someone who can understand and be sensitive to the individual needs and circumstances of each student. 1. Adaptability and Flexibility: Adaptability: Has the ability to adjust to different classroom environments and teaching styles. Flexibility: Show willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed, from administrative duties to direct student support. 1. Positive Attitude and Enthusiasm: Enthusiasm: Display a genuine interest in education and enthusiasm for helping students succeed. Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive outlook, which can be infectious and help create a supportive learning environment. 4) Classroom Management Skills: Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining and managing student behaviour in a positive and constructive manner. Engagement Techniques: Use strategies to keep students engaged and focused during lessons. 1. Problem-Solving Abilities: Initiative: Take proactive steps to identify and address issues or challenges as they arise. Creativity: Find innovative solutions to support student learning and engagement. 1. Emotional Resilience: Stress Management: Handle stressful situations calmly and maintaining emotional stability. Support Networks: Utilise professional and personal support networks to stay resilient and effective in the role.
