We re looking for a motivated Kitchen Assistant (Junior Chef), eager to grow their skills in food preparation and service while working as part of a supportive, dynamic team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation, display, and service of food items according to food safety policies and production plans.
  • Work with the team to prepare and present food for canteen menus, functions, and outside catering.
  • Ensure food quality meets standards and customer requirements.
  • Manage stock rotation, control, and accurate recording.
  • Participate in training and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Handle equipment and report any defects, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene policies.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in high-quality and volume food production.
  • A recognized catering qualification.
  • A Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety, or equivalent.

This role is full-time on a 5-day-over-7 basis, with flexibility required for early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
