My client is a globally renowned, £multi-billion energy & engineering firm who are seeking an experienced Engineering & Project Delivery Services Procurement Professional to join their recently transformed and expanding procurement function. The role will play an integral part in devising and implementing effective procurement strategies across Engineering & Project Delivery Services related spend in alignment with the company's ambitious strategic goals as part of the transformation.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity whereby the Engineering & Project Delivery Services Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of strategic sourcing and the management of key supplier relationships and internal stakeholders to this highly innovative and transforming procurement function towards best in class. Along the way you'll hone and advance your skillset, build in-depth industry knowledge and further develop your career within an established market leader who are experiencing a period of accelerated growth. The firm are offering circa £60,000 - £70,000 + 10% Bonus and a hybrid working structure of c.2x office days based out of either Surrey or Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholder groups, ensuring the delivery of goods and services that meet quality standards while being cost-effective.
  • Manage procurement across both direct and indirect spend categories, identifying supplier initiatives and fostering strong relationships to optimize spending.
  • Oversee key supplier relationships by conducting regular reviews and audits, ensuring contract terms are met, and maximizing value from each supplier partnership.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to enhance the impact of procurement activities and act as a point of escalation for any supplier-related issues or concerns.

Experience Required:

  • CIPS or MCIPS qualified. Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong procurement experience within Engineering & Project Delivery Services.
  • Industry background within Energy, Manufacturing, Engineering etc or related field.
  • Experience in the end-to-end management of Engineering & Project Delivery Services related spend and the ability to improve operational efficiencies, reduce risk and achieve cost savings.
  • Strong stakeholder management and SRM experience, strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Ability to present to senior leaders, pre-empt questions and inform decisions.
  • Analytical proficiency with a solid understanding of commercial/contract risk.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment, experience dealing with both complexity and ambiguity.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with complex problem-solving.
