About the role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team full-time, assisting students with challenging behaviours. This role is a vital addition to our staff as we continue to enhance our support for students who need extra guidance. With a competitive salary range of £85-£100 per day, this position offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in the classroom. The ideal candidate will work closely with a class of 25 students in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, providing tailored support to individuals who face challenges in their learning journey. The role is essential for helping students catch up with the curriculum and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
Application Requirements:
• A relevant qualification in education or child development (Level 2 or above).
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviours.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
• A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• A commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of all students.
• Working one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional assistance.
• Implementing behaviour management strategies to help students navigate challenging situations.
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and contributing to individual education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborating with external specialists and educators to provide comprehensive support to students.
