About Us:
We are a leading construction company specializing in innovative building solutions and high-quality construction. Our client's current project in Cambridge involves an exciting new build reinforced concrete (RC) structure, and we are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the external envelope and facade works.
Role Overview:
As the Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and supervising the external facade works, ensuring that they meet our quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. You will be responsible for coordinating various trades, liaising with subcontractors, and ensuring the installation of curtain walling and Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) elements is executed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Manage and coordinate the external envelope and facade installation, primarily focusing on curtain walling and GRC.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Liaise with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve any site issues.
* Conduct regular site inspections and progress reports to monitor quality and timelines.
* Prepare and maintain site documentation, including site diaries, reports, and safety audits.
* Foster a positive team environment and ensure effective communication among all team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager, with a focus on external envelope and facade works.
* Strong knowledge of curtain walling systems and Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) applications.
* Relevant construction site management qualifications (SMSTS, First Aid, etc.).
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
