Job Requirements / Description
Our client, based in Stanley, is looking for a Quality Manager to lead their Quality Department.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities, maintaining compliance with regulations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that all products meet or exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Quality Department, including supervising quality control staff, technicians, and inspectors.

Develop and implement quality management strategies, policies, and procedures across all production and operational processes.
*
Collaborate with senior management and department heads to integrate quality into business strategy and operations.
* Oversee the inspection of incoming materials, in-process production, and final product evaluations to ensure conformity to specifications and standards.
*
Maintain and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry certifications.
*
Establish quality benchmarks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and report on quality metrics.
* Ensure the company complies with all industry standards, customer requirements, and legal regulations (e.g., ISO, CE marking, welding standards).
*
Lead and manage internal and external audits, including regulatory, customer, and third-party audits.
*
Ensure all non-conformances are promptly addressed with appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
*
Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address recurring quality issues.
*
Proactively engage in risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to mitigate risks.
* Evaluate and manage the quality performance of suppliers, conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality agreements.
*
Act as the primary point of contact for clients on quality-related matters, addressing customer complaints, concerns, and feedback.
*
Ensure that customer quality requirements are fully understood, documented, and communicated across all relevant departments.
* Prepare and maintain detailed quality documentation, including procedures, manuals, test plans, and inspection reports.
*
Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing updates on quality performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.
*
Manage quality records and ensure document control processes are followed.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, OR relative industry experience.
*
Professional certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is highly desirable.
* Previous experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
*
Experience in managing and implementing ISO 9001 or equivalent Quality Management Systems.
*
Previous experience in SME manufacturing, particularly fabrication or engineering environments, is preferred.
*
Strong knowledge of quality control methods, inspection techniques, and testing procedures used in fabrication.
*
Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, DMAIC).
*
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
*
Experience of APQP, PPAP & BIQ processes are desirable, to ensure we satisfy our major / primary customer.
*
Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, CE marking, and relevant welding standards (e.g., ASME, AWS).
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and liaise effectively with clients and suppliers.
*
Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
