SEMH Teaching Assistant | Full Time Role

Do you have experience working with children who present with autism? Are you seeking your next role in education? Empowering Learning are working alongside a school in the NG7 area who are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work with a group of SEMH pupils across KS1 and KS2. This role is full time and will be on a contracted basis beginning November 2024 The role will begin as soon as possible and the hours of work will be 08:30-15:30 The school are looking for someone who: Has at least one years' experience working with autistic children Has previously worked in a school environment Can build relationships with children Is an effective communicator Can engage children with academic lessons The main duties in this role will be: Providing in class support to children with autism Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels Liaising with the school SENCO around progress of the pupils Working on a 1:1 basis with children out of classTo apply for this role, please send across your CV via the application page.
