The Role – Learning Tutor This Learning Tutor role is to support young people within an all-through SEMH School based in the borough of Wandsworth. You will be resonsible for supporting vulnerable primary and/or secondary students along their learning journey. To be successful for this Learning Tutor position, you will ideally have experience in a relatable field e.g. Youth work, outreach, behaviour, mental health or coaching. This Learning Tutor role will require you to be resiliant, proactive, creative and confident connecting with young people. You MUST be: * Able to commit to a full-time position - 8.30am-4pm * Be confident with challenging emotional behaviour * Have a positive and approachable presence The School – Learning Tutor This SEMH all-through school is a special school in Wandsworth for 120 boys aged 5 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health needs. All pupils have an Educational Health Care Plan. Primary pupils benefit from a purpose-built classroom hub and outdoor adventure playground. They have access to weekly music lessons and a comprehensive therapy service. Secondary and post-16 students are offered a broach curriculum including vocational courses such as barbering, construction, horticulture, hospitality and motor vehicle studies. All pupils benefit from regular animal therapy at their on-site farm, which is located on the spacious school site.
