Senior AWS DevOps Engineer - £140,000 - Hybrid (3x week in Watford) Overview: I am currently recruiting for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with one of my clients who are a global digital marketing and technology agency specialising in online gaming. We are looking for someone who has extensive AWS and DevOps experience, dealing with complex, large-scale or high volume data. Role Responsibilities: Design, implement and Manage AWS infrastructure. Manage and Optimise CI/CD Pipelines that allow for automated testing, building, and deployment of code (e.g., PHP or Node.js applications) Manage and Monitor Kafka or Real-time Data Streams Handling data pipelines and real-time data streams is a critical task for their clients working with large-scale or high-volume data. Linux System Administration and Automation Handle infrastructure, automation, security, and monitoring, all while working with advanced tools like Terraform, Docker, and Kafka/MSK. At a senior level, there's an expectation to take ownership of architectural decisions, guide other engineers, and ensure best practices across development pipelines and infrastructure management. Deal with complex, high-scale systems requiring deep technical expertise, especially around AWS cloud management and automation. Essential Skills and Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer 5+ years of core AWS cloud experience (RDS, ECS, EC2) Ideally Kafka experience (MSK or Kinesis as an alternative) Linux experience (Ubuntu) Terraform experience Docker experience Cloudflare experience (desirable) Deployment and management of PHP/Node JS applications (desirable) Package: Up to £140,000 Free Gym membership On-site Chef provides free breakfast and lunch Free Parking Hybrid (3x week in Watford)
