Estimates Controller

An award-winning commercial vehicle maintenance company are looking for an Estimates Controller to join their busy office based in Wednesbury. This is an exciting and fast paced role; the successful candidate will be a confident communicator and able to prioritise a busy workload. The role holder will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties associated with the sourcing of parts for the smooth progression of repair events for our client’s and their customers. Duties include: * Identifying and sourcing obscure parts/equipment that the company hasn’t encountered before (Google/Search Engines/direct with suppliers etc) * Collecting and evaluating data to estimate parts, equipment, and labour to complete a follow up repair * Sending quotes to customers, answering queries and handling authorisations. * Work closely with suppliers. * Responding to customer, colleagues and client’s telephone calls in a professional courteous and efficient manner. Quickly assess detail of the requirements, * Update customers and internal colleagues clearly articulate next steps and actions being taken in an efficient and timely manner. * Check details of all ongoing events, for status of VOR awaiting Parts, update status and confirm accurately and clearly to allow the customer to be updated. * Check engineer job sheets to verify all parts required. * Make clear notes to job sheets for parts colleagues to order and ship the correct parts. * Work closely with Engineers – come up with a methodical approach to problem solving. * Ensure email in-boxes are handled efficiently and effectively, taking appropriate action to address issues raised. Report all incidents to a line manager. Person specification: * Excellent communication abilities * Great customer service skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite * Good numeracy skills * Strong organisational skills & attention to detail * Previous experience in an Estimator Role in the commercial vehicle or Automotive Industry (desirable) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £24,000.00-£27,500.00 per year Experience: * estimator: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person
