Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Teesside. This role involves managing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute multi-discipline projects related to hydrocarbon storage tanks and piping.
  • Progress projects from scope definition to commissioning.
  • Act as a safety champion, driving standards and supporting incident investigations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business.
  • Manage project modifications and changes, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation.
  • Oversee project cost control, scheduling, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
  • Develop engineering specifications and prepare Scopes-of-Work for tenders.
  • Evaluate and manage technical queries and design changes.
  • Commission equipment safely and integrate into site operations.
Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (preferably chartered status).
  • Strong experience in project engineering or management.
  • Knowledge of storage tank overhauls, repairs, and cleaning methods.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations and COMAH.
  • Experience in oil & gas or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX legislation.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in restricted areas, at height, and in confined spaces.
  • Full UK driving licence.
