Job Title: Site Engineer (Highways Structures Team) Location: Gloucester Contract: 6-12 Months (Inside IR35) Rate: Competitive (Dependent on experience) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our Highways Structures Team on the Highway improvement project based in Gloucester. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a key infrastructure project, contributing to the delivery of high-quality highway structures. This position is operating Inside IR35, with an initial contract period of 6-12 months, offering the possibility of extension based on project needs. Key Responsibilities Site Management: Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. Quality Control: Monitor and inspect structural works, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project requirements. Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project progression. Technical Support: Provide technical advice and support to the construction team, resolving any site issues that may arise. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress tracking, and quality assurance documentation. Health & Safety: Ensure all health and safety protocols are adhered to on site, promoting a safe working environment for all. Key Requirements Experience: Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects, with a strong background in structural engineering. Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., MICE) are desirable. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using engineering software and tools. Strong understanding of construction methods and industry standards. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Compliance: Understanding of working within IR35 regulations.
