Manual Test Engineer Remote Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Manual Test Engineer to join our clients QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our clients software products by conducting thorough testing procedures. You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify potential issues and ensure their applications meet the highest standards of performance and usability. Key Responsibilities: Test Planning & Strategy: Analyze product requirements and design detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Collaborate with development and product teams to understand project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Test Execution: Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Execute test cases (manual) and analyze results in a timely manner. Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking tool (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, etc.). Bug Reporting & Verification: Report and verify defects by thoroughly documenting the steps to reproduce the issue. Work closely with developers to track, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. Collaboration & Communication: Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to the project team. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test results, including testing notes, defect logs, and status reports. Ensure that testing is well-documented, repeatable, and transparent. Required Skills & Experience: Experience: 4+ years of experience in manual testing. Experience with Agile development methodologies and testing in an Agile environment. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software testing principles, processes, and methodologies. Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, etc. Proficiency in creating and executing detailed test cases. Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for verifying test results. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Nice to Have: Experience in API testing or familiarity with tools like Postman. Basic understanding of automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus but not required. Knowledge of performance or load testing tools.
