Quantity Surveyor
We have been appointed to assist in the search for a Quantity Surveyor to join a highly regarded regional main contractor based in Bournemouth.
About the business:
The business, a privately owned regional main contractor, turns over circa £100mil a year and has seen progressive growth despite difficult market conditions over the last few years. They undertake projects across a range of sectors including light industrial, commercial and defence valuing typically up to £25mil. Projects are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
About the role of Quantity Surveyor:
As Quantity Surveyor, you will join an established commercial team and will work closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor on one of the upcoming schemes in the region.
Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:
Take ownership of sub-contract packages from procurement through to final account
Be involved in monthly CVRs
Have involvement in pre-construction activities
Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor position:
HNC / Degree qualified
Have a proven track record of working at Assistant / Quantity Surveyor level within a main contractor
Good working knowledge of JCT forms of contract (NEC experience is desirable but not essential)
