Finishing Manager
Freelance
Working on a social housing residential development
£240 - £280 per day
Based near Barnet,
Headline of the Finishing Manager role
With an excellent tradition of building residential developments and strong partnerships across the the Social housing sector working with local authorities, housing associations and social landlords. This role will see you support the completion of 2 blocks of 8-unit social housing apartments. This role will see you supporting the delivery of the handover from 2nd fix through to snagging, CML’s and final snag of all apartments. On the project you will be responsible for the two blocks on site and work closely with the current number on site.
Day to day programme monitoring and effective trade management to help create a zero snagging list and get properties ready for handover. The role will be for around 7 months on a freelance basis completing around May 2025.
Key experiences you should have as Finishing Manager
✔ Solid work history of delivering the construction of residential schemes for developers
✔ Be a great communicator with the ability to support your site team
✔ Developing knowledge of the residential construction process
✔ Be from a trade background or have developed skills from activity being on live projects
✔ Great customer service skills and the ability to deliver on new homeowners’ expectations
Overview of the Finishing Manager role
With the site at snagging stage the ideal candidate will have exposure and experience of working on residential apartment developments at finishing/snagging stage
Your key duties as Finishing Manager
✔ Work within a site that is producing high end timber frame build properties
✔ Ensuring quality and working towards NHBC standards ✔ Monitor and control on material levels ✔ Co-ordinate labour and trades ✔ Monitor and support the site build programme
✔ Benefit from a proactive site team who will actively support your career advancement ✔ Work closely with the site manager to deliver excellent zero defects
