You'll be involved in high-impact projects, focusing on platform improvements, platform extensions, and station upgrades that will contribute to a safer, more efficient, and modernized rail experience for thousands of commuters.
Responsibilities for Estimator
Prepare and develop accurate cost estimates for platform and station upgrade projects
Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment on project specifications and budgets
Conduct cost analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering to optimize project costs
Review tender documents, blueprints, and technical specifications for materials and cost inputs
Provide regular updates on project estimates as they evolve, factoring in any scope changes
Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes in line with project requirements
Requirements for Estimator
Proven experience as an Estimator in rail infrastructure projects, particularly in platform or station upgrades
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work effectively in a hybrid, collaborative team setting
Knowledge of rail-specific construction methods and materials is highly advantageous
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or similar discipline
