Job Requirements / Description
ROLE PURPOSE
To work closely with the operational teams and manage a high quality, customer facing multi-channel customer engagement operation whilst driving sales, business development, account retention and customer service, across all apprenticeship programmes.
Manage the team on a customer first, business generation and retention process while maximizing opportunities in a range of products using multiple funding methods.
Generate opportunities and income for all apprenticeship programmes in line with budgets and forecast targets and accurately record and report the same.
Work closely with the learner and recruitment team to meet learner recruitment and vacancy filling.
To manage the team and lead on the identification, solutions and securing of new business for large levy clients and SME growth across all apprenticeship.
To set, manage and measure team targets, ensuring sales and engagement targets are achieved across all apprenticeship programmes in line with budgeted forecasts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the SLT in transforming the business by driving and delivering customer first transformation and business growth, through existing and new clients.
Manage and drive sales through the team across all apprenticeship programmes ensuring targets are set, managed and achieved in line with budgeted forecast.
Lead the team on the identification and solutions to engage SMEs and large levy accounts in line with business plans and the sales growth strategy.
Inline with budgeted forecasts and apprenticeships operations teams, set, manage and monitor KPIs and targets for the apprenticeship business development teams, coaching and managing individuals to improve the team and individual performance as well as organisational performance.
Monitoring, tracking and interrogating sales/pipeline data to develop reports and business intelligence to aid in forecasting against budgets.
Identify, negotiate, or tender with new partners that could be beneficial.
Liaise with product/cluster/operations managers to ensure teams have up-to-date product knowledge and relevant collateral. Being creditable and approachable at all levels with the ability to influence and persuade to support the organizational objectives.
Maintain on-going competitor analyses and adapt activity as required.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Experience of managing a high-quality apprenticeship sales function.
Experience of levy and non-levy sales in a commercial environment and a consultative ‘solution selling’ approach, ideally in relation to apprenticeships.
Experience of managing, driving, and managing teams and coaching for individual performance to sustain improvements.
Experience of monitoring, tracking and interrogating sales/pipeline data to develop reports and business intelligence to aid in forecasting against budgets.
Experience of differing sales approaches in relation to levy and non-levy business development.
Experience of setting high standards to achieve contract/ project funded objectives, continually monitoring levels/standards of support, and identifying ways of making improvements based strategic evaluation or feedback.
