Role: Land and Partnership Manager Locations: Bristol or Cardiff About us: Multiple award-winning regional developer and contractor who build design-led and aspirational homes Geographical region: South Wales and South West of England region – Swansea across to Swindon Remit: Land discipline Working on: New build open market developments and partnership agreements Working arrangements: Flexible working arrangements between home, office and site Land and Partnership Manager – What we offer: Opportunity to work for an innovative and forward-thinking residential developer and contractor Real career progression An excellent pipeline of work and land bank across their operating regions A friendly and relaxed work environment A ‘culture-led’ and ‘values driven’ developer Land and Partnership Manager – About you/experience: Currently in an active Land Buyer / Land Manager role with a robust and demonstrable track record of acquiring land Understanding of the planning system & process and its impact on land acquisition & deal structure Able to work well as part of a team but also independently when required Good financial acumen, commercially aware and a sound understanding of development A good communicator with a driven personality who gets things done A self-starter, motivated to succeed and to make a positive impact on a growing business Good knowledge of land market in South Wales and West of England An understanding of ‘Partnership’ housing an advantage Full driving licence essential as substantial travel in role Land and Partnership Manager – About the role: To continue the growth across the South Wales and West of England regions, we are looking to further strengthen our Land team with the appointment of a Land & Partnership Manager. The Land & Partnership Manager will be responsible for identifying and acquiring both immediate and strategic land opportunities and working with ‘Partnership’ clients such as Local Authorities, Housing Associations and PRS providers. To establish and maintain a high profile with land agents, promoters, land owners, and other developers across the region in pursuit of development opportunities To project manage bid preparation, formulate offers and enter into commercial and legal negotiations in respect of securing deals To co-operate with the region’s Planning, Design, Sales, Commercial and Technical teams to appraise and acquire land in line with the Group’s requirements and to enhance the region’s pipeline of land opportunities Establish and maintain a suitable understanding of legal matters relating to land acquisition agreements, planning obligations and affordable housing To engage with Registered Providers and PRS providers regarding Partnership projects Regular reporting and presentation to the wider Land & Development Team at weekly and monthly meetings as well representing the team at the regional pre-development meetings Land and Partnership Manager – What about the benefits package?
