User Experience Designer Hybrid (2 days Weds/ Thurs in Central London nearest tube Russell Square£40,000 + generous benefits Overview We are seeking a User Experience Designer to join our clients team in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of engaging, accessible products and an excellent user experience to our global customer base of academic institutions. Responsibilities Conduct user experience research to understand user journeys and needs Translate research findings into clear designs and documentation Produce designs to assist with user research, internal discussion, and presentations to stakeholders Work on continuous improvement of interface design, basic UX writing, usability testing, and interaction flows Collaborate with Editorial leads and Product Managers on new product proposals Analyze web usage data to optimize user journeys Ensure compliance with established and emerging accessibility criteria Identify improvements to the team's processes and workflow Promote the importance of User Experience within the wider companyQualifications Demonstrated experience of user experience work Ability to understand the specific needs of a varied user base Cross-functional team collaboration, including stakeholder management Proactive, "can-do" attitude, with a keen curiosity and willingness to learn Excellent eye for nuance and a logical, problem-solving approach Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and visual)Day-to-day The User Experience Designer will collaborate closely with the Product Management and Technology teams, developing, evaluating, and iterating the user experience together. They will also work on a programme of continuous improvement, encompassing interface design within a tested and established design language, basic UX writing, usability testing, and interaction flows.
