Role - Science Technician Location - Canterbury Start Date - ASAP Hours - Full time Daily Rate - £95 - £105 a day depending on experience Tradewind Recruitment are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Technician to join a vibrant secondary school in the Canterbury area. As a vital member of the Science Department, you will play a key role in supporting colleagues and the students in their practical laboratory work. Key Responsibilities Of A Science Technician: Preparation of Materials - prepare and set up equipment and materials and Science experiments and demonstrations according to curriculum requirements Maintenance of equipment - ensure all laboratory equipment is well maintained, calibrated and safe for use by students and staff Health and Safety - Implement and uphold strict health and safety protocols in the laboratory including the safe disposal of hazardous materials Support for Teachers - assist Science teachers during lessons, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed Inventory Management - Maintain accurate records of laboratory supplies and equipment and assist in ordering new materials when necessaryQualifications and Skills Experience of working in a laboratory environment, preferably in an educational setting Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures related to laboratory work Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Hold or be willing to apply an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible Legal right to work in the UKIf this sounds like the perfect role for you then apply today!
