About The Night Support Worker Role:

Night Support Worker - Key Responsibilities:
- Offer emotional and practical support to women and children in a safe refuge setting
- Help engage residents in evening activities like cooking, art classes, movie nights, and more
- Confidently handle crises and support individuals facing complex challenges, including substance misuse and mental health issues
- Complete needs assessments and support residents in accessing health, legal, and housing services
- Facilitate a calm, welcoming environment, even during moments of crisis
- Support the transition of residents to independent living, encouraging self-advocacy
What You'll Need For This Night Support Worker Role:
Soft skills are key: You'll need resilience, confidence, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Flexibility: Comfortable working nights, weekends, and bank holidays, with the ability to sleep on-site when the project is settled (sleeping from 11pm if no support is needed)
Driver's license: You must hold a full license and be comfortable driving residents to appointments where needed (expenses covered)
